Infants and Toddlers
Infants
Our Infant Room offers a loving, stimulating environment that allows each child to develop at his or her own pace.
We have a 5-to-1 student/teacher ratio. Each baby has his or her own crib and the linens are changes daily or more often if needed. Please bring a changing of clothes and a small blanket. The room is kept clean and sanitized, and toys are cleaned daily.
Each child receives a Daily Report so that you see each time that your baby was fed, changed, or took a nap.
Toddlers
Advancement into or out of this room is based solely on each child’s individual developmental readiness. A high-quality early childhood program provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children. We have a 5-to-1 student/teacher ratio and we offer a program that introduces toddlers to preschool with:
- Color and Shape of the month
- Counting 1,2,3
- Music and Movement
- Nursery Rhymes
- Teacher assisted art activities
- Emphasis placed on the development of small and large motor skills through play, building, music, movement and art.
- Daily information sheets that keep you informed of your child’s progress are given at the end of each day.
- One two-hour nap per day as required by DSS
We have an Open Door Policy welcoming all parents to visit anytime throughout the day. If you are unable to drop by, feel free to call anytime!
Our loving, well-trained staff recognizes that each child is unique, and it is vital to each child’s development to receive lots of love and attention. Providing quality care is the foundation upon which our center is based. We are proud of our center, its services and its staff. Our firm belief is that when parents and teachers work together, the children can only benefit.
