The Right Touch Massage is pleased to offer the following therapies:

Swedish / Deep Tissue – The most common type of massage in the country and popular at spas and resorts. Renowned for reduction of stress and tension, Swedish achieves its results through a series of long, smooth gliding strokes including kneading, skin rolling, chopping and slapping techniques.

Neuro-Muscular Therapy (NMT) – A significant methodology for assessing, treating and preventing soft tissue injuries and chronic pain. This therapy requires advance knowledge of anatomy and precise palpatory skills. A goal is to locate tender points and trigger points in muscle and soft tissue. NMT techniques and protocols are employed to address these issues and bring about a therapeutic effect. Considered one of the more intense modalities used in soft tissue care and healing.

Seated Chair Massage – An excellent on site event modality. It requires little space, is time efficient and the client remains fully clothed. This massage is performed as the client is seated in a specially designed chair. Results are achieved using compression type techniques and sessions usually last only 10 to 20 minutes. Many corporations are learning the therapeutic benefits of chair massage and it's becoming increasingly popular in the workplace.

Reflexology – A holistic modality that uses the feet as a map of the body. It is a non-invasive system of stimulating reflex areas in the feet that correspond to our body parts, glands and organs Since these reflex areas are connected to all parts of the body, we achieve results through a type of compression massage, assisting our bodies to return to a state of balance and healing. TIPS FOR A MORE SUCCESSFUL MASSAGE

Hydration
Drink lots of water for at least two days from the time of your massage. Adequate hydration allows the kidneys to maintain proper electrolyte balance, help regulate blood pressure, and remove waste material from the body.

Hydrotherapy, Ice or Heat?
Cold relieves pain and reduces swelling and inflammation. Heat will also reduce pain but draws blood into an area (a self-induced inflammation). Acute pain that has heat or swelling calls for ice application. Chronically sore or tight muscles that are not inflamed can benefit from hot soaks. Discuss your individual needs with your doctor or therapist.

Gentle Stretches
Your body will always benefit from slow, static stretches and especially so after a massage. Your therapist will be happy to assist you in selecting appropriate stretches and instructing you in the proper way to perform them.
